OUR MISSION

Redefining the Exoskeleton Industry

Starting in 2019 and aiming for 2024, we are working to complete this time- and labor-intensive in five years. Our task groups are interdisciplinary and fluid, dynamically changing as problems demand and ranging from mechanical design to system software to sensing to controls. We recently developed our first prototype and plan to re-design, refine, and implement software and control systems into our design. 

This project is open to members of all years and majors who wish to join and contribute their skills and ideas.

Our Journey So Far

2019

LLEAP IS FOUNDED

LLEAP was founded to make the quality of life better for an individual who requires assistance walking. Our goal is to see our hard work change lives for the better while learning from our peers.

2022

FIRST PROTOTYPE CREATED

Following working online during covid, we developed our first prototype at the end of the 2022 school year. The single leg prototype serves a model for our future builds.
